Uses septicemia, including neonatal sepsis, and severe systemic infections .treatment and prophylaxis of endocarditis due to streptococci, enterococci,and sometimes staphylococci,it has been used for surgical infections prophylaxis.
Dosage:i.v. or i.m. 80 mg/8hrs. in severe infection 5mgkg./day can be given Kids 3mg/kg./day divided into 2-3 doses in Renal insufficiency the doses hould be reduced to maximum blood-Gentamycin concentration 12ggm./100 ml.
