Mechanism has marked vasoconstrictor effects
Uses acute attacks of migraine , given in the first warning of an attack,since when the attack is Earlier the smaller the Dose needed and the more effective the treatment
N.B Camylofine, Analgin and Propnhenazone are analgesics.
Caffeine help in relief of headach due to its central vasoconstrictor effect .
Adverse Effects, Precautions & Interactions: vasoconstriction of blood vessels and possible thrombus formation. It is C/O: in patients with, sepsis, peripheral vascular disease, ischaemic heart disease, hyperthyroidism, or hepatic or renal impairment. Used with care in patients with anaemia. It is C/I: in pregnancy because of its oxytocic effect Dosage:2 tabs. Usually when migrain attack can be repeated up to 3 times daily .
