what medicine Neurotop 400؟

Carbamazepin: used to control grand mal and partial epileptic seizures .
Adverse effects : dizziness, drowsiness, and ataxia. These effects may be minimised by starting therapy with a low Dose . X Drowsiness and disturbances of cerebellar and oculo-motor function are also symptoms of excessive plasma concentrations ofcarbamazepine; and may disappear with continued treatment at reduced dosage
Precautions: avoided in patients with atrioventrieular conduction abnormalities. not given to patients with a history of bone marrow depression. caution in patients with a history of blood disorders or of cardiac, hepatic, or renal disease.
Interactions: Alcohol may exacerbate the CNS side-effects of carbamazepine, Dextropropoxnhene cause elevation of serum-carbamazepine and its toxicity, probably due to inhibition of carbamazepine metabolism
Dosage' 100:200 mg Daily increased gradually to max. 800: 1200 mg Daily on 2 divided doses Kids up to 1 year old 100:200 mg Daily 1 :5years old 200:400 mg Daily 5:1 Oyears old 400:600 mg Daily 1 1 : 15 years old 600: 1000 mg Daily all divided into 2 Doses .
