Uses: is a phenothiazine with properties similar to chlorpromazine used in the ttt of psych iatric disorders e.g. schizophrenia , mania, anxiety and behavioural disturbances.
Adverse effects &Precautions: as Chlorpromazine. Fluphenazine cause less sedation, hypotension, or antimuscarinic effects but is associated with extrapyramidal effects.
Dosage: schizophrenia, mania, and other psychoses is 2.5 to 10 mg daily in two divided Doses; then increased according to response up to a usual maximum of 20 mg daily.
