Uses: various psychoses including schizophrenia and mania, in intractable hiccups , and in severe anxiety including for the sedation of patients in intensive care or palliative care.
Adverse effects: as Chlorpromazine. Haloperidol cause less sedation, hypotension, or antimuscarinic effects, but is associated with a higher incidence of extrapyramidal effects
