Intermediate-acting non-depolrizing neuromuscular blocking agent. Uses i.v. as adjuncunt to general anaesthetic.or sedation in the I.C.U. to relax skeletal muscle to facilitate tracheal intubation, and mechanical ventilation.
Side effects: Competitive neuromuscular blockers with vagolytic activity may produce tachycardia and a rise in blood pressure.
