Pharmacology Minoxidil topical solution stimulates hair-growth in individuals with androgenetic alopecia (male pattern baldness). The exact Mechanism of action of minoxidil is unknown.
Indications:Alopecia androgenetica expressed in males as baldness of the vertex and in females as diffuse hair loss or thinning of the hair. Alopecia —areata expressed as an inflammatory patchy loss of hair involving beard and scalp. Dosage:Hair and scalp should be dried prior to application. A Dose of 1 ml (the equivalent of eight sprays) applied to the vertex or to the affected area twice daily. The total daily Dose should not exceed 2 ml. Continuous daily application for 4 months or longer may be required.
