Capecitabine:is converted to fluorouracil in body tissues. Given for the first-line ttt of metastatic colorectal cancer and is also used after surgery for colon cancer. Given with docetaxel for the ttt of locally advanced or metastatic breast
Dosage: 2.5 g/m2 given in 2 divided doses about 12 hours apart; doses are given for 2 weeks, followed by a 1 -week rest eriod. Tablets given with water within 30 minutes after a meal. Doses modified according to toxicity.
