Uses: Imiquimod is an immune response modifier used topically in the treatment of external genital and perianal warts, superficial basal cell carcinomas, and actinic keratose.
Dosage:For the treatment of genital and perianal warts, it is applied as a 5% cream three times each week for up to 16 weeks and is left on the skin for 6 to 10 hours. For the management of superficial basal cell carcinoma, a 5% cream is applied 5 times each week for 6 weeks and left on the skin for about 8 hours. For the treatment of actinic keratoses on the face or scalp, a 5% cream is applied twice a week for 16 weeks and is left on the skin for about 8 hours.
