Mechanism:The alkylated metabolites have been shown to interact with DNA & exert their cytotoxic effect. It is routinely given with mesna to reduce urothelial toxicity.
Indications: Germ cell tumors, lymphomas, sarcomas, cervical ovarian, lung and breast cancer.
Dosage:IV Infusion : Infused IV over atleast 30 min at a Dose of 1.2g/sq.m/day x 5 days, treatment cycles repeated every 3-4 weeks, monitorin hematolo ical icture eriodically.
